MATERIALS:

• The chrome-plating process deposits a layer of chromium on the metal giving it a shiny mirror finish and high resistance. The coating process involves applying a coat of coloured pigments made from metal powders to the substrate followed by a clear protective coat for gloss and abrasion resistance.
• The “thick leather", which is obtained by splitting European cattlehide into layers that are thicker than standard leather layers, is tanned then surface coated. Thick leather seats are made by interposing a layer of foam rubber or a MDF or plywood sheet between two pieces of thick leather pieces, one concealed and one exposed.
