The company began by importing classic furniture from Europe, and only started to manufacture their own products after significant experience in the world of European furniture design. As they grew in both size and reputation, Nienkamper brought in more design talent from Canada and the USA. The company's factory has expanded dramatically over their 40 years in the market, yet remains in Toronto to this day, from where they ship their furniture around the world.
