Modernica has been creating replicas of classic furniture designs for over 20 years. In that time they have brought some of the most iconic designs of the last century to the modern home. Wherever possible, Modernica use the original specifications, tools, and materials when reissuing any piece of furniture, so you may be sure that your piece is as close to the real thing as is available on the market. With their focus on simple, modern design, the Modernica look is a distinctive one.
Modernica is undoubtedly most famous for the revival of the George Nelson bubble lamps, one of the top lines of modernist lighting in the world. First designed in 1947, and ending production in 1979, the lamps are a classic "must have" piece of design history that has transcended both time and trends. The Bubble lamp's status is such that today it is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
With its organic and seemingly weightless form, the bubble lamps still look as fresh today as when they first appeared on the market. The light it gives off is both bright and ethereal, illuminating the room with warm and soft tones. |
